Appointments

All consultations are by appointment and can be requested by visiting  Appointments.

Alternatively, appointments can be requested by calling the practice or using our online services. To use the online system, a username and password must be obtained from reception after registering as a patient.

Routine appointments are 10 minutes in duration. It may not be possible for your doctor to answer all of your concerns in one appointment.

Please make a separate appointment if anyone else in the family wishes to be seen.

Please do not book appointments online for blood tests, health checks, cervical screening, asthma and COPD reviews etc. as longer appointments are required for these and can be completed in our health reviews and assessment clinic.

Same day team

Our same day team will assess patients that need to be seen in the surgery or at home on that day during normal surgery hours. The practice is constantly striving to achieve the Government’s Advance Access targets.

Nurse Practitioners

We have nurse practitioners who run daily clinics.  Appointments with nurse practitioners are available to book on the day during normal surgery hours for minor illness/injury problems.

Nurse practitioners are qualified to diagnose and prescribe medication.

Telephone Advice

If you need routine advice directly from your doctor, please book a telephone call and provide a telephone number to be contacted on after 11:00 on the day of the appointment. It is important that you are available on the telephone number you provide, so that the doctor’s time is used efficiently.

Signing up for text reminders will enable us to text you when your appointment is due.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible. You may also inform us by ringing reception. This will allow us to offer the appointment to someone else. You can also text ‘CANCEL’ in reply to your appointment reminder text message.
